Many of you have asked for clarification on the 4-core rule for Championships. please see the example below. Please note the board has waived this requirement for AA teams (again). Rules and Regulations 5.03 states in part "A team must be comprised of a minimum of four (4) core members of cumulative year played rosters." This language means that a team can draw from any "otherwise eligible player" who has played with that team in the current NAGVA season. For example: Hooterville Hotties competes this season with the following rosters: ATLANTA: Rick Rob Ryan Jason Chad Lew NEW ORLEANS: Rick Rob Ryan Leah Randy Jet Hooterville could then satisfy the Championships Eligibility Requirement of 5.03 with the team of [Rick, Rob, Ryan, Randy], Randell & Eric. "[ ]" denotes 4 core members. The "otherwise eligible" requirement is that ALL players, regardless of whether they are part of the 4 core or not, must have played at least one tournament in current or past season to play at Championships.
