Metamora is known as Horse Country. Metamora is a hidden gem a few miles north of Oxford and a few miles south of Lapeer, Michigan. There is an abundance of fields, trees, and land as far as the eyes can see. Many people visit to enjoy Mother Nature, be it on the greens of Metamora Golf Club, enjoying the hunt clubs, horseback riding, or a hike through the park.
