Alamo Area School Maintenance, Operations & Construction Association
MEETINGS
AASMOCA has regular meetings on the third Wednesday of the month with no meetings scheduled for August, December or March.
Meetings are held at different locations each month but normally are held at area school district facilities or at vendor’s facilities that are AASMOCA members.
The meetings start at 8:00 AM with refreshments and usually tacos followed by a 30 minute to one hour program over topics relevant to maintenance, operations and/or construction in school districts. A short business meeting follows the program.
Scholarships
AASMOCA also sponsors scholarships for students graduating from participating school districts that are going into two or four year programs in fields related to maintenance, operations and construction.
Summer Workshop - Fundraising
The main fundraising activity to fund these scholarships is a Summer Workshop in June that provides a full day of training for maintenance, operations and construction school staff members for a very small cost to the participants.
